Board Mourns Passing of Member David Shindeldecker
HOUSTON, October 28, 2008 — The board of Green Bank is saddened by the unexpected death of fellow member David Shindeldecker, chairman, president and CEO of The Redstone Companies. Shindeldecker was a founder of Redstone Bank in 1998 which evolved into Green Bank in 2006.
“David’s passing is a tragic loss for Houston. A leader in business, David quietly touched many community groups with his time and gifts,” said Green Bank Chairman and Co-Founder Manny Mehos. “Working with David over the years was an honor; he possessed as much integrity, wisdom and genuine care for those around him as a person can have. We will miss him dearly.”
“Green Bank will continue to follow the vision David helped create. The mission and the plan for growth mapped by the board will continue,” notes Geoff Greenwade, Green Bank president and board member. “Our strong position is a result of David’s acute understanding of a changing banking environment, commitment to sound banking and investment principles and ability to identify opportunity.”
